Yeay! So Happy! Finally passed my Advanced Theory Test! Means, I’m through one hurdle of this driving thingy, now I can focus on my driving lessons alone.
Lately, I’ve switched to private driving lessons instead of school. Simply, becos gng to school is much too expensive and cost are simply too high to maintain. I’d run dry after only a few lessons, and thats simply not enough. Besides, I have already been taking 16 lessons from school at SSDC, but it seemed I haven’t learnt much, where did all my money went? Sighz…so wasted….each lesson in school cost me at least $80 (choosing specific instructor) else it would be about $76. Still a high price to pay for 1hr and 50mins. And I feel I haven’t learn anything to improve my experience and confidence to drive on the road. If anyone, were to ask me, I’d say, dun go to school unless u are sponsored by ur parents or you have loads of $$$ to spare. Becos for me, I believe if I had continued going to school, I’d take more than a year to get my license, because of insufficient funds, and my hopes of getting a license was getting dimmer and dimmer. At least for me now, the future of me getting my license, is turning better and brighter.
I guess with a private instructor, the only drawback comes if your instructor is those skiving sort. Watch out for those. If they keep skiving off and you are not exactly learning anything from him, fire him, and find another one. And be sure not to recommend him. I mean, its their rice bowl at stake here. They depend on referrals man! Anyway, I’ve taken two lessons so far with my instructor. So far, he’s only skived once, going off to the petrol kiosk to buy curry puff. I shall see to it that it doesn’t happen so often anymore. If it does, I’m prepared to change anytime. I want need my license asap!
