Manage to catch Kung Fu Panda last night at Cathay (The Cathay).
Used my credit card to get discounted tickets at $6 per pax. Worth it. Plus the movie was really good and enjoyable, makes it even more worthwhile.
Seriously, I laughed all the way through the movie, from the first 10 mins to the last min of the movie.
It was tremendously enjoyable.
Jack black did a fantastic voice over the Panda itself. He definitely brought life to the cartoon character. It looks just like him man. Then again, I guess most hollywood cartoonist would usually make the cartoon look like as close as the real deal as possible. To give the character more depth and more life.
Besides the graphic being worth applauding to, the story line was in fact quite good. Stirring far from being fairytale stories, the originality of this cartoon was so refreshing. Coming from watching Hong Kong’s Kung Fu movies and dramas since I was little, the storyline and scenes were belieavable and not at all any form of a cheap attempt. Even the fact that it was voiced in English in a Chinese setting did not make it look weird at all.

Alright, from the looks of it, I kinda suck at critiquing a cartoon or even a movie. But all I am trying to say, is its really worth every penny to go catch this movie. Cos I thoroughly enjoyed every min of it.
Although the rest of the character did not quite leave too much of an impression. I personally liked Master Oogay (The ancient Turtle), then of cos, Po (Panda) and not forgetting Master Shi Fu (Tiny Red Panda)….So CUTE…..hehehe…..Master Oogay was the funniest of them lot.

Even after watching a cartoon, I was felt all in the mood for some Kung Fus!!!

I’ll give it 4 Caramel Popcorns out of 5. Cos I did finish our bag of Cheddar Cheese and Sour Cream Pop corns.
