Hon Ni KitchenAddress: I don’t get it!!! I was brought there to try their nasi lemak. Was told their queue is always superbly long. Even in the early morning. Got there and true enough it really was long. But still Queue-able. After about 15 to 20 mins of queueing by The Bf, I got my plate of Nasi Lemak, with what I had requested. I must say, 80 cents for a piece of chicken nugget is not cheap at all. Although the catch phrase is $2 for the standard with 3 items. And additional 80cents is chargeable if you choose chicken wing or chicken nugget. The Bf did highlight to me that the chicken nugget is the one that is really nice and worth eating, so I listened to him lar. But to my horror and dismay, I saw the lady serving only ONE PIECE of that SMALL PIECE of chicken nugget. OMG!!! Two piece at least would be decent, but ONE PIECE. Thats miserable! The irony is, the chicken wing also cost 80cents. So if you are already intending on spending 80cents more, you might as well go for the chicken wing. True enough, my mood was even more spoilt when I saw the size of that chicken on my plate, after being chopped up, it looks even lesser and smaller. You could practically count the number of thin pieces, roughly about 5 slices not thicker or longer than the size of your thumb. GOSH….need I say more? In my opinion, if you want to eat cheap nasi lemak, you’d have a better deal at Chong Pang Nasi Lemak at Sembawang Road. These other stalls, namely the “Infamous” Punggol Nasi Lemak are becoming more like “NAZI Lemak” than “Nasi Lemak”. The cost of one plate of nasi lemak and dishes feels like I am being extorted!!! Ya lar $2, its “SUPPOSED” to be a good deal. True I agree. But nothing fantastic, if you really must have, then order the chicken wing! At least make your monies worth rite? Maybe you’ll be more satisfied than I was with my PUINY chicken nugget. BLEH! |
